Air Conditioner Types

Central air, ductless systems and window AC models

There are many types of air conditioners on the market which are effective in cooling the air in your home and providing a comfortable environment for your family or business. Knowing the type of air conditioner that is best suited to you can be difficult. Each type functions slightly differently in order to produce the same results.

Perhaps the newest and most efficient type of home air conditioning system is central air. Central air conditioning is effective in cooling the entire home. The cool air is released through vents located throughout the home. These are the most effective air conditioning systems on the market; they are also the most expensive.

Ductless air conditioning has also been proven to be very effective. This type of air conditioning may be considered an average-performance conditioner at an affordable price. For those individuals who do not want window conditioners in their home and cannot afford central air, ductless air conditioners are perfect. These conditioners are affordable and efficient and will provide you with the results you need without spending a fortune.

For those who cannot afford central air or a ductless air conditioner, there are other types to choose from as well. Window air conditioners are very affordable and can provide your home with some form of cool air. Although these are not as effective as most other types of air conditioning systems, they do provide a significant amount of cool air in warm climates.

There are a number of other types of air conditioners to choose from as well. These include portable air conditioners and slider casement air conditioners, as well as air conditioners for your boat or RV. These units all vary widely in terms of size, price and maintenance.
