Air-O-Swiss Purifiers

Check out the unique air wash systems

Air-O-Swiss (AOS) is a division of PLASTON AG, created in 1956 by Hans Frei. The company prides itself in developing new technologies so that it can provide their customers with the most efficient and effective purifiers available.

In 1976, PLASTON AG began concentrating on air treatment systems, but it wasn't until the late 1990s that the company was introduced to the Czech Republic, United States and China.

Air-O-Swiss's popularity is not only a result of the products the company designs; it is also a result of the company's values. “Trust, reliability and respect” is the Air-O-Swiss motto, which the company stays true to by providing excellent products. At Air-O-Swiss, they believe that the customer should always come first. Air-O-Swiss air purifiers are especially well-suited to people with strong allergies and other breathing problems such as asthma.

Two popular air purifier models offered by Air-O-Swiss are:

The Air-O-Swiss 2071 HEPA Air Purifier and Humidifier , which features circulation of air up to 5 times per hour, along with:

  • A HEPA filter with over 99.7 percent efficiency for particles larger than 0.3 microns.
  • Optimum protection against harmful particles like dust, pollen and mold spores.
  • Activated carbon filters that remove odor and fumes.

The 2071 is the most popular model of air purifier by Air-O-Swiss, because of its air purifying efficiency and because it also employs humidification. You can find this robust air purifying unit online for less than $300.

The Air-O-Swiss 2061 Air Purifier is essentially a basic air purification system that includes a HEPA filter as well as an activated carbon mat for the removal of odors. It features:

  • Extremely efficient noise reduction (3 quiet performance settings)
  • 2 HEPA particle filters to protect against pollen, dust, pet dander and dust mites
  • Odor and fume filter
  • High air circulation performance level

The Air-O-Swiss 2055 Air Washer's rotating discs churn in a water bath to perform a dual purpose: they humidify the air and also remove particles from the airflow. This model is designed for rooms of 600 square feet or smaller. Bear in mind, however, that it is not an air purifier, per se.
