Honeywell Air Purifiers

QuietCare systems from home and office leader

You'll find the Honeywell name on diverse products – everything from automotive to aerospace – so you can bet that at least some of that expertise will filter into its line of air purification systems. In fact, Honeywell is on a short list of dominant players in air products for home and office.

Honeywell's line of air purifiers, QuietCare, is designed with the consumer in mind. Aside from providing excellence in air purification, QuietCare offers a noise-reduction feature that makes these systems at least 25 percent quieter than comparable HEPA systems. Honeywell also has models with timers and remote operation, among other features. Many Honeywell products feature a five-year warranty.

Some of the more outstanding products in the Honeywell line are:

The Honeywell 60001 HEPA-Grade Air Cleaner, which features a permanent IFD filter that needs to be cleaned on a regular basis but never has to be replaced. It also features Honeywell's patented quiet operation and smart design. Its auto timer can be set for up to 10 hours. It comes with a built-in ionizer and a clean air delivery rate (CADR) of 150. This unit is recommended for rooms up to 230 square feet. It retails for $150, but it can be found for less if you shop around online.

The Honeywell 50150 HEPA Air Cleaner is ideal for small to medium-sized rooms. It has a CADR of 150 for rooms of 175 square feet. This unit retails for $119.

The Honeywell 10500 Circular is ideal for small rooms. It features Honeywell's noise reduction and two electronic speed settings. The two pre-filters need to be replaced every two to three months, and the HEPA filter should be changed every one to two years. Ideal for portability, this unit can quickly clean the air in rooms up to 180 square feet.

All Honeywell air purifiers are ideal for the removal of pet dander, unwelcome odors, mold spores, pollen and other unwanted airborne particles and contaminants. Honeywell products are often recommended by physicians and other health professionals.
