Reebok Football Equipment

Reebok International Ltd. includes the Reebok, Rockport, and Greg Norman brands, along with brands of the recently acquired The Hockey Company. Reebok is part of the Adidas Group and is one of the world's leading sports, fitness and lifestyle companies. The company's roots go back to the J.W. Foster and Sons Company of Britain, where Joseph William Foster made some of the first known running shoes with spikes in them. By 1895, he was in business making hand-made shoes for runners and other top athletes. In 1958, two of Foster's grandsons started a companion company called Reebok, which was named after an African gazelle.

In 1992, Reebok expanded into sports gear by creating lines of footwear and apparel for football, baseball, soccer, track and field and other sports. Reebok has a strong link to football and, in 2000, the company and the NFL announced the formation of a partnership which granted a 10-year exclusive license to Reebok to manufacture, market and sell licensed merchandise for all NFL teams. This includes on-field uniforms, sideline apparel, practice apparel, footwear and an NFL-branded apparel line. The contract also gives Reebok exclusive rights to develop a new line of NFL fitness equipment.

Reebok NFL Thorpe Mid D football cleats

With Reebok originally starting out as a shoe company, it's not really surprising that their football cleats are among their most popular items. The men's NFL Thorpe Mid D football cleats are leather shoes that come with detachable 7-stud plates which are designed to provide you with excellent traction and traditional stud placement. The cleats have non-stretch lining packages to prevent them from stretching and the thick innersole boards and MP foam are made to cut down on stud pressure. They also have molded polyurethane sockliners with ETC top covers for comfort and support and to help reduce friction and heat build-up. The shoes have EVA midsoles for lightweight, flexible, cushioning and impact resistance.

Reebok football gloves

Football gloves are also high on Reebok's hit chart and the NFL Equipment Shred padded football receiver/linebacker gloves are near the top of the list. These gloves come with non-slip, polymeric palms that are dual-coated to give you a better grip and ball control. They have form-fitting spandex backs and finger gussets to allow you maximum freedom of movement and sensitivity. Their adjustable closures keep the gloves comfortable and secure and they also have ProGel padding on the backs to provide you with flexible cushioning.
