Finding a Paintball Store

Where to go for your paintball gear

Paintball may be quite a popular game in various parts of the world right now, but there aren't really a lot of paintball stores out there. This means your wallet may be at the mercy of some store owners, if they don't really have any competition. However, if you're lucky enough to live where you have a couple of paintball shops to choose from, you should do some comparison shopping to find out who's giving you the best quality at the best price. You should also look for good service, but some players don't mind sacrificing a little extra service for a lot better prices.

Basically, you need to find a paintball store that has everything you need - a one stop shop. If the store doesn't have what you're looking for, ask them if they can order it for you. You should look for a place that has a friendly, knowledgeable staff. Don't be afraid to ask them questions about their items, and what kind of guarantees they offer. Also, feel free to ask them to show you how things work, and how to maintain them. If a paintball store has an on-site service or repair shop, that's a good sign as you generally won't have to ship any malfunctioning items away to get fixed.

Good service is one thing, but you still need good prices. When looking for a good paintball store, don't be shy. If you find items cheaper at one store, don't be afraid to question the other store, and ask them if they can match the price. If they don't match the price, feel free to walk away and go back to the cheaper store. You should also do this if you've found a better deal online, which brings us to the next type of paintball shopping. You can buy good paintball gear online, but you can't inspect it before buying it. If there's anything wrong with the equipment when it arrives, it can sometimes be a royal pain to get it fixed, or to get your money back. However, if you know exactly what you're looking for, you may be able to buy it a lot cheaper online than you can at a store.

Some paintball stores may also rent out guns and other gear, and they may also have a used equipment section. This can be ideal, especially if they accept trade-ins for your old equipment. If they do sell used gear, don't be afraid to haggle with them to get the price down to an acceptable level. The hours of the store may also affect your choice - if it's only open a few hours a week, you may want to keep searching.
